So the Supreme Court decided today that you only have the right to own your house / land so long as Wal-Mart doesn’t want it? And all the blogosphere appears to be in throes of agony over this travesty, as they should.

However, I wonder how many of the blog authors and their numerous commenters will expend the same amount of energy they do in writing blog entries or comments as they will in writing their representatives in the House and Senate (both national and local)?

How will our Senators and Congressmen & women know how we feel unless we tell them? Of course, usually it seems the people most vocal about politics can tell you what Bush had for breakfast but cannot tell you off the top of their head what district they are in or who their congressman is.

Go here if you need help. Find their numbers, email addresses, fax lines, snail mail addresses. Make them hear your voice. But don’t wash your message in rhetoric. Make sure you write a calm, well thought out letter (which is why I’ve not hit the send button yet).

Because if you say nothing now, no one will hear you above the rumble of the bulldozers when it’s too late.

Update:
Want to do this in a hurry. Tee Bee has a good letter you can key off of.
