I got to my polling place at 6:50 this morning, hoping to beat the rush. This is what I ran into

What you don't see here is that the line goes all the way around the front of the building. If you were to follow the line and face the building, the entrance is all the way to the left. There was about 100 - 125 people in front of me.

However, once the polls opened, I made it through and out in about 45 minutes, so it wasn't as bad as everyone I know who went and voted early. My father had to wait 3 1/2 hours!

Nothing exciting happened. No one got in arguments. A guy had his two kids with him a few slots behind me and it was cute to hear them talk about the election process.

I didn't get a shot of the MoveOn people who had set up shot within 10 feet of the entrance which kind of bothered me (both that I didn't get a shot and the fact the 2 idiots were breathing). I had to head to work so I didn't really want to get into it.

All in all, pretty heavy turnout with no complications for me. My W sticker didn't get my car vandalized. My boss only made the comment that he cancelled my vote, but then again he had to go directly to a meeting so I'm sure I'll hear plenty more by the end of the day.

Crossing my fingers....

Update:  Is there like a requirement or something that the poll workers must be older than 87 and smell strongly of mothballs and urine?
