And re: Captain Planet - I can't believe the makers of this ecowarrior propaganda piece actually thought casting Whoopi Goldberg as Gaia, the Spirit of the Earth made me want to do anything other than pour crude oil on seagulls i've caught in my plastic sixpack rings and then roasting them on a styrofoam bonfire.

I remember I watched the show as a kid, but only because they replaced He-Man with it.
