Still a nice night outside. Looks like we're slated to get the kick shit out of us sometime tomorrow evening. The D2H is weather resistant, so if I can get a few decent shots I will.
Now, onto the more pressing issues. I work in an evacuation area so we're closed tomorrow. Good. Maybe I can catch up on my blogging a little during the day.
They just updated the status of Chuck to estimate it at a Category 3 hurricane by the time it makes land fall tomorrow evening. Wow. Where I'm at (fairly inland) the wind will be between 40-75 MPH. Along the coastline, it will be between 75-120 MPH with gusts up to 150. Holy frijoles Batman!
So my blasé attitude turned out to be wrong. I didn't think this was going to be that big of a deal, but it is. So we're going to get a massive amount of rain and wind and knowing our power company, we'll be without electricity quite often. As SaaM is ran out of my house, it may go down more than normal so bear with me.
This has been commentary from the SaaM Weather Center.
