Hit Animal Kingdom yesterday with the family. Still can't get over the half-assed 'bag search' you have to go through. He just happened to be born elsewhere. Like Joe's friend, I don't understand why people continue to think that socialism of any stripe is good. I don't get why people think corporations are bad but intrusive government is fine. So, I did manage to get Assassin's Creed up and running on my PC. The game is fun, but not as fun as it appeared at first. It gets repetitive pretty fast. One thing I see happen all the time is that when I say I don't want the government doing X, people automatically assume that I don't want X to happen. Something the anti's fail at tremendously is they never let facts get in the way of their views. Why shouldn't we require licensing for having children? It's time to apply "reasonable restrictions" to the other amendments
It is considered "reasonable" to restrict 2A rights when the "greater good" is served. My mother called me all a twitter because her water heater had sprung a leak, soaking some electrical wires, which then proceded to catch fire. Sounds familiar to me. Expanding my role as a great test-taker
So I’ve had to take some online courses at work regarding happy horse-shit things like Diversity in the Workplace*, SOX Whistle-blower protection, Sexual Harassment, etc. It takes hours to do these, but if you can pass the pre-test, you don’t have to sit through them. So, I drive a 95 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 Liter Straight 6 that’s been modified to….errr, ‘enhance performance’. She gets about 18 mpg, but has a 20 gallon gas tank. Michael Berg has officially squandered any sympathy for his son's death
Bill at INDC Journal was brave enough to attend an A.N.S.W.E.R. rally where Michael Berg, whose son's beheading by terrorists was taped and promptly buried by the Media, spoke. What he said was simply disgusting. Michael rallies against those who profit from the war, those who supported the war, and those who believe that what we are doing in  Iraq is the right thing to do. In other words, the man is desecrating his own son. He uses his own son's decapitated head as a platform...

From the mouth of someone who's been there
Found this great read via El mezclador del perrito. For every person who claims that they cherish freedom. this should be a required reading. This is a person who knows first hand why we as Americans fight in Iraq. It's not about oil. It's not about empires. Damn the motives of a select few in the administration if you so wish, but my fellow soldiers out there fight for the same reason Marek Edelman so briliantly states. This world needs more men like him.

The Internet still has a way to go
I purchase photography equipment. Any photographer will tell you that photo stuff is expensive (my camera body alone cost $3200!). Lenses are ridiculously priced as well. I love to order online. It's fast and convienent and, if the shipping charges don't offset it too much, quite often cost effective. I'm trying to do my part to expose this travesty. Yeah, but where's the rest of it?
Sarin Nerve Gas Round Found, Partly Detonated in Iraq Ok, what bothers me the most about this is that when you make Sarin, you don't make it in 2 liter quantities. Where's the rest of it? I'm really surprised at the voraciousness of people who are so ready to deny this as a WMD. This was part of a larger system of weapons that Iraq was forbidden to have. Nobel Peace Prize winner supports US Action in Iraq?!!?
Apparently so! If someone who has won such a high prize for peace can understand the value in what we've done and that war, while being a bad thing, is not always the worst thing, why can't so many American's who are opposed to our mission? The Incredibles are coming!
Oh man! I am excited already. The Incredibles website is up and with plenty of new info as well as [access denied] screens to really keep you guessing. I have been a Pixar fan for a long time.
